Siege table



Legend : X : always impossible. O : always possible.

Use this table to know which unit you must possess or destruct to attack, in a siege situation.

Special defenses


Some defenses has a different effects than regular blockage or permissions. They are described here :

Walls : those defenses don't have any particular effect, they are just numerous and solid.

Fortifications : those defenses can only be found on advanced camps (which can be built only by High-Scouts on premium account), and offers a bonus of +2 Val/Dom/Def at besieged units to all attacks from and to attackers.

Vougelards : help to counter-attack against besiegers, if those use a creature or cavalry (light or heavy) type unit against a unit of the besieged faction (defense, garrison or defenders), if range rules allow it.
If conditions are good, and the attack roll of the counter-attack is a failure, vougelards transform it into a success.
If the attack roll is a success, vougelards add +5 to the Dom characteristic of unit counter-attacking.
Ex : besieger attack a some standard garrison unit with a creature. Attacked unit possess a higher 'range', so he can counter-attack. The counter-attack's attack roll is a failure. Fortunalty (for defenders), the besieged castle possess vougelards ! Attacking unit is a creature, so vougelards transform the failure into a success, and the creature will take counter-attack damage !
The only way for besiegers to avoid those kind of counter-attacks will be to use high-range units, or non-creature and non-cavalry units, or to destroy every vougelards before attacking with those kind of units !


Burning-waters : same function and rules than vougelards, but against infantry (light or heavy) type units, instead of creature and cavalry.

Strike-backards : same function and rules than vougelards, but against infantry (light or heavy), cavalry (light or heavy), creature, and monster type units.



Units of prestige


Some special units, called "units of prestige", which can be recruit with glory points (see "Duel"), have effects on blockage and permissions in some particular way, indicate as follow :

Séricidons ou Mygaeradons ou Sicarists : block flying monsters of attackers, if they are possessed by a defender..

Hydres-Lions : same effect as Treuil-Worgs.

Mâche-crins : same effect as Belfries.

Dévieurs Parques ou Porteurs d'abris ou Lève-égides : same effect as Machicolations.

Ingénieurs de Caroan : same effect as Drawbridges.

Rëmcheïmys : block light and heavy infantry of defenders, if possessed by an attacker.

As those units are very rare and only for one faction or another, they are explained aside from the normal table, to not complicate the table unnecessarily.
